More to Say from San Francisco

When I say I am writing about San Francisco in the 1960s, I often hear, "Sure, I know about San Francisco in the late 60s. There were Hippies in the Haight-Ashbury and everyone was dancing in Golden Gate Park."

My answer is, "First, as a native San Franciscan, we don’t call it Haight-Ashbury, we call it The Haight. And second, there were lots of people in The City then who were doing lots of things besides dancing in Golden Gate Park. I know. I was there."

This is a collection of “betcha didn’t know” stories from the people who were there and who have "More To Say From San Francisco."

Compassion

San Franciscans always seem to have fun while doing good. And yes, we do have swimming pools in The City.
